On March 21-22, 2025, the Hawaiʻi Pacific University Debate Society hosted the 2025 Pan Pacific Debate Championship (PanPac). This year, the championship featured 12 teams from Hawaiʻi Pacific University, The United States Air Force Academy, Wheaton College, Regis University, Loyola Marymount University, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo University. We extend a heartfelt thank you to all the universities that participated in PanPac!
The United States Air Force Academy emerged as the champions, not only securing the First Place Trophy but also the prestigious “Top Speaker” award, exemplifying their exceptional argumentation and public speaking skills.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who played a role in making PanPac possible. The Hawaiʻi Pacific University Department of Arts, Communication, Languages, and Media has consistently supported the event and the debate program, enabling the HPU Debate Society to provide these unique public speaking and debating opportunities to both HPU students and students from around the world.
The HPU Debate Society’s mission is to equip students with persuasive and public speaking skills, empowering them to express their opinions effectively and defend their beliefs through rigorous practice and competition.
