HPU is now implementing PaperCut, a powerful print management solution, to boost efficiency and promote sustainability across all campuses. This initiative coincides with the University-wide Windows 11 rollout. The PaperCut Print Deploy client is being installed on all new or upgraded computers, ensuring compliance with our network security protocols while reducing waste and improving mobility between our urban and windward campuses.
The system provides detailed usage analytics, enabling data-driven decisions to lower costs and minimize our environmental impact. Features like default duplex printing actively support HPU's commitment to mālama ʻāina (caring for the land).
How to Identify PaperCut on Your HPU Computer
If your HPU computer runs the Windows 11 operating system, you likely have PaperCut. You can identify it in one of two ways:
- The PaperCut client will automatically appear upon logging in.
- A printer icon will be visible in the bottom-right taskbar. Hovering your cursor over it will display "PaperCut Print Deploy Client":
