In partnership with O‘ahu-based nursing schools, Hawai‘i Pacific Health (HPH) proudly offers HPU’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students entering their second year of nursing an exclusive opportunity to join the HPH Clinical Home Program.
This innovative initiative allows nursing students to complete all clinical rotations at HPH facilities, fostering deeper integration, consistency, and preparation for future nursing careers. Successful participants will receive a guaranteed interview for Academy Innovations during their senior semester.
HPU nursing students Madison Gramse, Steven Felix, Raphael Tan, Kale Sinay, Kimberly Baguio, Ethan Fuller, Isis Moon, and Abigail Bueno have been selected for the 2025 Clinical Cohort.
HPU Assistant Professor of Nursing Joy Bliss, Ph.D., RN, who also serves as Chair, Academic Advisor, and HPU Coordinator for the HPH Clinical Home Program, stated, “The HPH Clinical Home Program is a unique partnership that provides our students with continuity and immersion across the clinical experience. By completing all of their rotations within Hawai‘i Pacific Health, our nursing students not only build strong clinical skills but also become part of the HPH culture of excellence. This program gives our nursing students a clear pathway from education into practice, and I am honored to help guide them through this journey.”
On Friday, September 12, 2025, two Clinical Home Nursing students, Ethan Fuller and Kale Sinay, proudly represented HPU as volunteers at the 2025 HPH Nurses Conference, held at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Coral Ballroom with the conference theme “Advancing the Future of Nursing Together.”
This event was opened by Amy Thomas, MSN, APRN, FNP, System Chief Nurse Executive at HPH and didactic adjunct for HPU’s Nursing Fundamentals. She emphasized HPH’s shared commitment to innovation, collaboration, and excellence across every level of practice.
Ethan and Kale shared their excitement about networking with HPH nurses and learning about career pathways available through the Clinical Home and Academy Innovations. They assisted with HPH booths and microphone duties during Q&A sessions with presenters at the conference.
The Clinical Home Program sets the stage for HPU Nursing Students to grow as future nurse leaders, while reinforcing HPH’s mission to advance health care across Hawai‘i.
HPU is proud of its nursing students’ accomplishments and looks forward to celebrating their continued success!
