Dr. Nicole Miller joined Hawai‘i Pacific University in 2024 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy. Prior to this, she served as an Assistant Professor at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences from 2017 to 2024, following her role as contributing faculty beginning in 2012.
Dr. Miller earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Chapman University and has worked in outpatient orthopedics since 2007. She completed an orthopedic residency at Rancho Physical Therapy in 2008 and became a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) in 2009, with recertification in 2019.
Her professional and research interests center on the functional biomechanics of the lower quarter. She previously owned and operated a clinically based biomechanics laboratory focused on lower quarter movement dysfunction. In 2024, she completed her PhD in Health Sciences at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, with a dissertation focused on lower limb running biomechanics.
