Investing in Hawaii'i's Professional Leaders

As the largest private university in Hawaii‘i, we believe it is our responsibility to find ways to give back to the community around us. At Hawaii‘i Pacific University (HPU), one of our core values is Kuleana (responsibility), and with our scholarship and assistantship offerings we hope to provide Hawaii’i's working professionals the support they need to pursue their graduate education right here in Hawaii’i, blending both quality academics and flexible programs that fit into your schedule. Each year, the Office of Graduate Admissions awards a limited number of merit-based scholarships and graduate assistantships to newly enrolled full-time students who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to serving our island communities.

A: While most institutional scholarships cannot be combined, we work to provide the maximum benefit package possible through a combination of institutional, external, and federal support.

Q: How competitive are the graduate scholarships and assistantships?
A: Merit scholarships are competitive with roughly 20% of graduate students awarded some form of institutional aid. Graduate assistantships are more competitive with about 10% of graduate students receiving awards.
