Sigma Delta Pi

Purpose:

To honor those who attain excellence in the study of the Spanish language and in the study of Spanish literature and culture; to encourage a greater interest in, and a deeper understanding of Hispanic culture.

 

Eligibility:

• Have completed three years, or the equivalent of college Spanish, including at least three semester hours of a third-year course in Hispanic literature or Hispanic culture and civilization.

• Have their grades in all Spanish courses average at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

• have at least a 3.2 cummulative  HPU GPA.

• Have completed at least three semesters or five quarters of college work.

• Show genuine interest in things Hispanic and be of good moral character.

 

Membership Dues:

National membership fee (lifetime membership, pin): $30.00

HPU membership fee (induction ceremony, shipping costs, events, etc.): $8.00

TOTAL PAYMENT: $38.00 to be paid upon notification of acceptance.
